Third Party Risk Manager

In this position, you will be responsible to maintain a comprehensive 3rd Party Risk management operating model, with guidance and leadership from the Chief Sourcing Officer and Third Party Risk and Sourcing Operations Director. The operating model will be based upon a Center of Excellence (CoE) approach; the Manager will assist to lead the CoE (contained within the Sourcing department), working with each business segment as it manages the day-to-day oversight of 3rd party service providers. Accountable for the ongoing monitoring and analysis of program compliance. Ongoing management will also include tracking to industry-best practices and regulatory requirements. Other responsibilities include:

• Assist Sourcing to maintain a strong 3rd party management program, including tools, processes, procedures, timeline, etc.
• Create and maintain strong cross-functional, and regulatory relations and support for the program
• Provide direction and strategy to various business and operations teams in support of the 3rd party risk management program to ensure successful process implementation, standards and best practices
• Provide support and appropriate training to Line of Businesses (LOBs) on performance management tools and activities
• Assist to maintain policies & procedures for the overall program
• Monitor completion of assessments against defined schedule within the lines of business
• Organize appropriate progress reporting and prepare management reports, escalate where appropriate, in order to ensure that program requirements are met
• Facilitate governance sessions and track the status of action items as applicable
• Monitor the organization's performance to ensure program objectives and business case objectives are met
• Translate identified risk areas into specific potential improvements
• Create, track, and remediate performance standards and performance levels
• Work with various teams including: process owners, Compliance/Risk, as well as various and disparate leaders and users to define and drive results
• Build effective and collaborative peer-level relationships
• Balance multiple tasks and projects and manage the related resources
• Effectively and efficiently communicate with co-workers and all levels of management

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or an additional 2 years of risk related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 7 years of sourcing, 3rd party risk, audit or in a risk role/function (i.e. Segment Risk Officer position)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Financial industry and regulatory understanding/background preferred (e.g. OCC, Federal Reserve, etc.)
• Project management experience
• Strong planning, and organization skills
• Strong formal and informal presentation/advocacy skills and experience, including with executive management
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines while handling several projects at the same time
