Position Title: 3rd Party Risk -- Section Manager

Location: Cincinnati or Columbus, OH

Our 3rd Party Risk Section Manager position in the Operational Risk Management Group will be responsible for assisting in driving strategy, continuous improvement and governance of key operational risk processes related to third party risk and vendor management.

Additionally, the position will work closely with the Operational Risk Director to implement corporate operational risk policies and standards.

Responsibilities include:


• Assisting in the execution of the Bank's Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework.
• Monitoring industry 3rd party operational risk trends and driving change accordingly as required.
• Supporting the enhancement of 3rd party risk ORM framework including the development and management of policies and standards.
• Participating in and/or leading working groups/committees to address and resolve issues.
• Participating in corporate risk projects as needed
• Establishing 3rd party risk strategies and defining areas of 3rd party risk focus
• Assisting business segments with their assessment and understanding of 3rd party risks, and communicating in business terms the 3rd party risk profile to Executive Leadership.
• Coordinating with first-line teams to ensure proper structure of controls and control frameworks.
• Leading key 3rd Party Risk governance functions and forums, as well as regular assessments of 3rd party risks affecting the Bank
• Defining the overall structure for executing and monitoring independent challenge of first-line teams, processes, and assessments for third party risk.
• Identifying and working to implement continuous improvement opportunities in the 3rd party and operational risk space.
• Providing governance over 1st line 3rd Party Risk activities.

Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 or more years' experience in an operational risk, risk management, audit, or compliance role that required independent analysis, assessment and resolution of complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with 3rd party risk or vendor management.
• Experience working with and presenting to regulators.
• Experience in a Risk role which included measuring and balancing risk, defining effective controls, and assessing/communicating residual risk to senior business stakeholders.
• Strong preference for recognized industry certifications related to risk management.
