Job Description

Account Relationship Associate, Full-Time, 40 hours, 8-5 Monday-Friday. Provides administrative support for sales functions for one or more account officers and is responsible for the day-to-day activities and interaction between the client and Huntington, in terms of the establishment, documentation and maintenance of the relationship.

Summary of Duties:

  • Opens Deposit accounts and products
  • Orders loan documents and vendor requests, completes and submits routine renewal applications and provides necessary documentation waivers and resolves routine approval discrepancies
  • Monitors loan progress, obtains conditions to close items, provides loan funding instructions and sends closed loans to Loan Servicing for booking
  • Reviews exceptions reports, requests items to clear the exception and sends items to Loan Servicing, processes collateral releases and coordinates the distribution of released collateral
  • Handles overdrafts on a daily basis for officers, provides customized support for assigned customers by responding to complex, chronic or sensitive customer issues requiring special attention
  • Responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing and resolving complex problems with accounts
  • Fosters and develops internal and external relationships including advising and counseling on bank products and services.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of products, services, departmental systems and related technology, policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience providing customer service and sales support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Financial industry experience with a strong knowledge of business/commercial loan processing, procedures and documentation
  • Must have Notary Certification or obtain within six months of employment
  • Excellent customer service skills, highly motivated, focused, and goal oriented
  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up
  • Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build and expand quality internal and external customer relationships
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office Products
  • PC and internet proficiency
