Job Description

The AP Accounting Clerk Sr position is responsible for processing invoices and payment funding in multiple systems, maintaining complete supporting records, reporting, General Ledger Journal entry input and account reconciliations, and other duties.
Performs complex and diverse duties involving the application of standard bookkeeping and/or accounting procedures. Examines, codes, verifies, balances and reconciles various kinds of transactions, listings, invoices, vouchers, and reports. Prepares, adjusts and closes basic journal entries. Verifies consistency, completeness and accuracy of accounting documents. May prepare budgets and/or reports including estimates and forecasts, and income and expenditure reports. Also may direct and check the work of other accounting clerks.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 or more years of Accounts Payable Experience
  • Experience with leading process improvement projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Experience with internal audit and risk
  • Strong Data entry skills (Oracle, COUPA, Leaseplus)
  • Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel (including Vlookups and Pivot tables)
  • General knowledge of Accounting concepts and reconciliations
  • On-line Accounting and procurement system experience
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy
  • Ability to organize and follow-up
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
  • Previous Banking experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle situations with pose and tact
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
