Job Description

The Model Management and Optimization team within BSA Operations is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of all models used for BSA/AML compliance. In addition to continuously improving Customer Risk Management and Transaction Monitoring models, MMO is also responsible for business intelligence functions such as ongoing model performance metrics (effectiveness), customer behavior and transaction channel monitoring, operational forecasting, key performance and risk indicator monitoring, and data integrity control monitoring. MMO develops and maintains user tools for other BSA Operations teams to assist in alert review or KPI tracking. Through these responsibilities, MMO works closely with Information Technology, Model Risk Management, Segment Risk, Internal Audit, product groups, and lines of business.

This AML Analytics Manager role will have accountability and task ownership of the following:
* Participate or lead initiatives associated with strategic planning, development and execution of analytics, ongoing model development, and model tuning roadmaps;
* Manage a tactical team of business and model analysts including administrative (hiring, promotions, terminations), ongoing technical training, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and work product quality oversight;
* Develop, standardize, and automate MIS reporting, dashboards, or conduct statistical analysis in support of BSA Operations and the ongoing model management and optimization program;
* Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business processes and applications as well as stay current in statistical techniques, methodologies, best practices, and trends related to model management, governance, development, tuning, and ongoing monitoring;
* Identify areas of improvement and drive process efficiencies with business stakeholders;
* Lead assigned projects and/or provide support to team members related to concurrent projects, continuous improvement enhancements, and/or systems that are may be more complex and of a larger impact to the Department and Company;
* Work with BSA Operations Management Team and appropriate data management offices to identify, create, and drive business requirements related to Department data needs.


Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree is required
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis/statistics, computer science/information systems, mathematics, economics, risk management or compliance
* Minimum of 3 years of experience to include data analysis and data mining experience using SAS, Python, R, Hadoop, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2
* Minimum of 1 year of experience leading multiple, potentially concurrent, department initiatives under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in relevant field is preferred
* CAMS certification is preferred
* SAS certifications (Programming, modeling, statistical, or analytical) are preferred
* Management information system (MIS) and operational reporting administration is preferred
* Huntington systems and data knowledge is preferred; examples include Actimize CTR/ECM/KYC, SAS AML, FDR, and Enterprise Data Warehouse
* System knowledge - Multidimensional Database Management System (Essbase -- MDBMS), Infogix, Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS), Detection & Research Tool (Actimize DART), Project & Portfolio Management Center (PPM)/Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Change Management, and/or SharePoint experiences is preferred
* Robust data analysis background including working with complex data sets, data modeling, and conducting data integrity assessments
* Strong ability to inspire and motivate direct reports and business partners

* Strong database skills, including working with advanced data sets, pivot tables, advanced database and statistical functions and methods
* Strong analytical skills required to organize and analyze multiple complex data sets
* Strong ability to identifying potential concerns, analyze and solve problems; ability to work effectively and independently to resolve such issues.
* Strong interpersonal skills in teamwork; communication; time management; adaptability; organizational technique; problem solving; decision making; and innovation (i.e. Conceptual design, process mapping, business/technical requirements, process/continuous improvement); along with a customer focus, results orientated, business sense, create and execute test scripts/validation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with users who have various backgrounds including technical, business, executive and senior management, and examiners
