Job Description

The Audit Section Manager will concurrently supervise or lead the planning, execution, and reporting of multiple audit engagements for assigned Payments and Channels business segments.

Our highly motivated Audit Section Manager will:

  • Concurrently supervise and coordinate planning, execution, and reporting of multiple audit engagements;
  • Develop, execute, and supervise audit testing procedures to ensure the adequacy of the system of internal controls, adherence to bank policies and procedures, and compliance with governmental regulations;
  • Interact with senior management;
  • Evaluate audit results to determine if issues exist and formal findings are necessary, and communicate results with various levels of management;
  • Develop and execute continuous auditing/monitoring program for assigned businesses;
  • Develop and execute data analytics audit program;
  • Provide subject matter expertise on consumer lending regulations;
  • Prepare and review Annual Risk Assessments as necessary; and
  • Coach and develop audit team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • 7+ years of Credit Card, Debit Card, and/or ATM experience that may be a combination of audit, business segment, and/or risk management experience but must include work with FFIEC, OCC and CFPB guidance and rules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CFPB, OCC and FRB examination processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills -- must be able to effectively communicate issues/concerns to various levels within Huntington including executive/senior management.
  • Excellent project management skills -- must be organized, detail oriented and able to work well under deadlines in a rapid/changing environment, and supervise multiple concurrent projects effectively.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities -- must be able to accomplish goals through influence management and motivation.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and supervising staff
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and/or core banking processes preferred
  • Professional certification (CPA, CIA, etc.) or progress toward certification preferred
