Job Description

 Branch Distribution Strategist

Responsible for the planning, financial modeling, data analysis, and program development associated with the bank's physical distribution network.

  * Key member of the Retail Distribution team which drives the strategic initiatives, network transformation / optimization, financial analysis, and approval of capital projects supporting the physical distribution network.

* Drive execution of the strategic plan(s) as defined through market planning. Propose, analyze and initiate changes to the Branch network including expansions, consolidations, and relocations.

* Incorporate the latest analytical models/tools to evaluate distribution value and maximum financial return. Make recommendations that will improve Huntington's competitive position while achieving the Company's goals for financial performance.

* Responsible for assessing the business opportunity and financial justification of all potential branch actions. Write business cases and obtain funding for capital projects.

* Support branch transformation and Omni-channel delivery strategies for the Consumer Bank through advanced analytics and data mining.

* Support M&A opportunities as needed; perform site level due diligence and impact analysis of potential acquisition targets.

* Additional responsibilities involve tracking and reporting on program results, market / competitor analysis and executive level reporting.

* Must show demonstrated ability to frame up the question or problem, perform relevant analysis and succinctly present a recommendation. Must be comfortable presenting work to an executive audience on a regular basis.

* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are required to move projects from planning through execution. Must be able to manage multiple projects with deadlines and display a high attention to detail.

* Some travel and light field work is required to "know the market" and serve as the local market's distribution advocate.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy development or planning and business analysis.

* Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines; high attention to detail

* Familiarity with demographic data sets, census data, etc.

* Expertise with database applications including Microsoft Access

* Familiarity with leading Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications, including ESRI

* Expertise in financial modeling including discounted cash flow valuation, trend analysis, scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and NPV / rate of return.

* Must have strong quantitative and financial modeling skills; should be comfortable working with large data sets. Ability to synthesize big data and succinctly tell a story.

* Must have a technical aptitude with the ability to learn new software and apply new GIS tools.
