Business Analyst Senior (3237) - Salary Grade 72, Exempt

As a Senior Business Analyst with a focus on report development, this position is responsible for supporting multiple lines of business through the development of performance and incentive reporting. This position is part of a dynamic team that works directly with sales leadership to identify, develop and deliver reporting for field sales personnel as well as sales management and executive leadership. The team is headquartered in Columbus but geographical location of position may be flexible; in that instance, required travel is 10%. Key job functions of this position include:

  • Determine reporting requirements based on strategic objectives and coaching needs.
  • Identify and communicate the time and resources needed to achieve required results.
  • Partner with other business areas to identify and understand a variety of data sources.
  • Develop and maintain programmatic reporting for multiple lines of business with attention to expectations and deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of produced reports.
  • Maximize the automation of both report delivery and data acquisition.
  • Act as the SME for produced reports and underlying data.
  • Research problems or leadership questions and act independently to resolve.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting or analysis as requested.
  • Prepare datasets for partners as needed.
  • Support broader team initiatives as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in either cubic data, performance modeling, report development or analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel including complex functions and Pivot Tables.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Access.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Transact-SQL language.
  • Proven skill in prioritizing and simultaneously managing deadlines, ad hoc requests and regular deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi task within a collaborative work environment.
  • Willingness and aptitude for expanding technical skills and finding answers to difficult technical questions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to a Do the Right Thing attitude and customer-centric approach
  • Process-oriented methodology with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours when required.
  • SAS programming experience a plus.
