Job Description

The Business Insight Specialist partners with Business Banking Relationship Manager sales colleagues in pre-sale activities.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Industry and company research, partnering with the Knowledge Center to design and prepare insights that position HNB in a differentiated way to "look out" for the customer.
  • Supports all research for prospect and customer calls
  • Actively pulls third party data for prospect opportunities for bankers and prepares collateral materials for sales calls and COI meetings as well as respond to RFP's, collaborating with OCR partners and the RM to prepare strategic sales presentations for an RM/banker to present the sale to the customer/prospect, working with Sales colleagues to customize content and messaging.
  • Responsible for conducting relationship reviews where they are analyzing the relationship and providing insight as to what cross-sell opportunities exist to deepen the customer's relationship with Huntington.
  • Monitors and update various internal systems on behalf of the banker including: tracking sales calls, sales pipelines, and opportunities / referrals and sales stages closed to help manage forecasting.
  • Provides sales reports to local leaders as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with clients in a financial sales/services or credit environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Business Banking sales and product knowledge
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
  • Proven track record of working well in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • PC and internet proficiency
