Business Banking Market Manager in Columbus at Huntington

Job Description

  • Develops and implements marketing plan/selling strategies for Business Banking Group in the local market
  • Communicates direction and coaches a team of bankers to meet and exceed production goals
  • Responsible for the market's balance sheet growth objectives and operating income objectives
  • Works collectively with market Team and Credit Partners in the approval of new and the diligent management of the loan portfolio.
  • Works closely in the training and development of team colleagues
  • Develops strong relationships with strategic OCR partners and leads in delivering the full bank to our customers
  • Actively participates in the strategy and management of the local/regional bank

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent of an additional 4 years' combination of education and business banking experience
  • Minimum 10 years of business banking/commercial banking experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior management/coaching/leadership experience
  • Strong lending and credit skills
  • Prior experience leading business banking/commercial banking sales team
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to interface with various levels or leadership
  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
  • Proven strong coaching and colleague development skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • PC and internet proficiency
