Business Banking Senior Business Analyst in Columbus at Huntington

Job Description

* Leads assigned projects for the Business Banking Segment and/or provides advanced specialized consultative support to other team members for assigned business process and/or system(s) that are typically more complex and of a larger impact to the company.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of business processes and applications and stays current in technical enhancements, methodologies and trends related to the assigned application(s).
• Analyzes existing processes and systems and identifies technical or procedural improvements. Recommends business practices to optimize use of business process/system(s).
• Develops operational procedures for products, services and systems. Designs processes to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develops and generates special and ad hoc reports. Provides technical support to business unit, customers, management and other users.
• Serves as liaison between software vendors and business process system users and other corporate areas.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree or the equivalent of an additional 4 years of business/process requirements experience
• 5 years combination of banking/financial systems and processes requirements experience or business analyst experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Commercial Loan Origination systems (i.e. Velocity or other systems)
• Experience with business banking/commercial banking processes
• Experience with digital banking and communication technologies
• Extensive experience working with Microsoft products and knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language). Knowledge of SAS and Crystal Reports preferred.

• Experience updating procedures in a quick turnaround environment
• Experience in MS Word, Excel
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to convey ideas verbally and/or in writing with a clear, concise and organized method and be appropriate for intended audience
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and ability to re-prioritize as appropriate
