Job Description

Our Capital Plan Regulatory Reporting Manager position is a highly visible and impactful management position working on the Huntington's Capital Plan (CCAR) regulatory filings submitted to the Federal Reserve and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis. The primary responsibility will be to assist in managing the business-as-usual preparation of a sub-set of the of the CCAR regulatory filings and to assist in managing the quality assurance reviews for data accuracy and conformance with regulatory instructions for all CCAR regulatory filings.

  • Manages a team that either prepares CCAR schedules or performs quality assurance reviews for data accuracy for the CCAR FR Y-14M/Q/A and DFAST-14A reports.
  • Reviews execution of controls and identifies areas of process improvements or gaps.
  • Interacts and collaborates with various subject matter experts, schedule owners, schedule preparers, and data aggregators to accurately apply schedule instructions.
  • Stays informed of regulatory rules changes and guidance in Q&As to assist in ensuring changes are implemented timely.
  • Works closely with the Regulatory Reporting department to ensure appropriate coordination and reconciliation among various regulatory filings, where appropriate.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 or more years of experience in financial statement auditing, accounting/reporting, or budgeting/forecasting in industries/companies requiring regulatory reporting (i.e. banking, healthcare, energy)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preference: Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Public Accounting experience.
  • Experience should include knowledge of core banking process and product characteristics, especially different types of loan products.
  • Strong demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as being detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize tasks to assure adherence to deadlines and delivered accurately.
  • Experience in managing both a team and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally to deliver results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface and proactively engage with different levels of management.
  • Proficiency in Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with loan systems (e.g. AFS, Hogan, MSP, etc.), SAS, and Essbase a plus.
  • Some weekend and evening work required especially around filing deadlines.
