In this high exposure, dynamic position, the selected individual will direct end to end projects both large and small. You may act as a team leader and have responsibility for management of colleagues. Other responsibilities include directing the development of continuous improvement initiatives for multiple projects, consulting with, and influencing internal contacts at all levels across the company, creating value and buy-in as the lead business continuous improvement transformation partner. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives through the use of measurements, analysis and discussion of process alternatives to arrive at best practices. You will also be advising business groups by providing strategic direction to initiate prioritization, integration and resource application. You will direct the build and translate business priorities into implementable actions to achieve strategic goals. You will also ensure the budgeting, planning, and net results meet business objectives. You will identify, develop, assess and drive high level business issues and consult with all levels of management to negotiate and develop solutions which meet planning schedules, quality objectives, and policies and procedures of the organization. You will also be responsible for decisions that have significant long-term impact on the business while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. ​

In addition, qualified individuals will identify within the CI led projects which ones require Voice of Customer collection and help recommend appropriate research plans such as:

  • Synthesize data (both qualitative and quantitative) to support other CI tools (root cause analysis, prioritization matrix, CTQ validation, etc.)
  • Conduct Voice of Customer research to support CI led projects as needed:
  1. Select the appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques
  2. Design qualitative and quantitative research plans, questionnaires and moderator guides
  3. Facilitate focus groups, individual interviews or survey data collection
  4. Interpret data, prepare reports, identify opportunities and make actionable recommendations

The selected individual will adhere to bank policies and procedures and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility. Establishes or ensures development of effective performance monitoring and review systems to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis. Ensures staff is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources and motivated to adhere to established risk management principles. Continually evaluates strategic direction and risks against the impact of economic, technological, competitive, regulatory, and other environmental changes.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree ( a degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business preferred) 
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in quality, analytics or a process improvement role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience of utilizing CI tools (i.e. data analytics, coaching, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (yellow or green belt preferred) or LSS preferred, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or CI 201 certification preferred.
