Job Description

This Functional Coordinator position provides "Simply the Best" customer service at all times. Responsibilities include providing advanced clerical/administrative support to a functional area by coordinating a variety of complex tasks. We're looking for a self-starter who wants to grow with us! This position:

  • Responsible for filing claims to the investors/insurers of mortgage loans.
  • Responsible for gathering supporting documentation, researching ledger transactions and accurate entry of data into appropriate systems.
  • Must maintain clear records and reports for management review regarding claims filed and non-recoverable items.
  • Additional responsibilities include, providing additional documentation necessary for claim payment, following up to ensure claim is paid and filing a supplemental claim for additional claimable amounts if necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 3 years of Default Servicing Investor/Insurer Claim Filing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience utilizing the Black Knight / LPS/Fidelity Mortgage Application System is desired.
  • Experience filing investor/insurer claims is required.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage origination process desired.
  • Knowledge of investor guidelines for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA and FHA is desired
  • Demonstrated experience successfully interacting across lines of business, in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication skills
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of MS Office
  • Intermediate typing/data entry skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
