Job Description

The Customer Assistance Team at Huntington provides "Simply the Best" customer service at all times. Responsibilities include contacting delinquent customers by telephone to collect past due payments or to make alternative payment arrangements.

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-9:00pm with every 3rd Saturday, 8:00am-1:00pm.

The Customer Assistance DDA Collector:

  • Updates collection files and completes all necessary paperwork.
  • Negotiates payment plans protecting the Bank's interest and completes decision-making process.
  • Reviews and discusses transaction history.
  • Educates customers on current status of account and potential fees/outcome.
  • Advises customers of Huntington Bank products and services.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Call Center experience
  • Must have a desire to educate and assist troubled customers
  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate over the phone in a professional and personable manner within time constraints
  • Ability to understand complex processes
  • Must be able to easily adapt to change and embrace continuous improvement
  • Must be goal oriented and self-motivated
  • Must be comfortable using a computer and keyboard
  • Working knowledge of consumer and collection law
  • Knowledge of CACS, RMS and HOGAN systems helpful
