Job Description

The Deal Management Program Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the Deal Management program strategy and service across the CML segments including supporting the Relationship Manager and/or Sales colleague in the development and execution of a deal strategy for all assigned large scale, complex and/or high profile sales opportunities, including:

  • Serves as a strategic consultant and advisor to the sale, managing consistent and strategic execution of the sales process
  • Leads the sales team to effectively understand the customer's needs, conducting thorough discovery and assisting in developing the recommendation
  • Identifies and coordinates all required team members and tasks associated with the sales opportunity
  • Provides strategic business and process consulting, as applicable, to customers in support of the sales opportunity and Huntington recommendation
  • Drives the team, internal and external, needed to manage the creation and execution of the sales strategy, recommendation and presentation required to "win the deal"
  • Builds solid business relationships across the CML segments, driving new business and pipeline growth for the Deal Management program

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years' of sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least five years of bank sales experience selling financial products and services to customers.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
    Experience working across multiple lines of business and segments in multiple roles
  • Strong communication, leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to effectively and professionally interact with customers
  • Ability to think logically about complex situations in order to build knowledge and think critically about the development of a deal strategy and recommendation
  • Strong leadership and oratory skills with experience communicating to all levels of an organization
    Ability to enforce accountability across team members (in a non-direct report environment)
  • A creative thinker, someone that "thinks outside the box"
  • Broad knowledge of multiple lines of business and products across the bank
  • Strong consulting skills, someone that can gain the trust and confidence of both the internal team and the customer to earn the right to be consultative
