Job Description

Position will be a member of the Financial Maintenance team within the Commercial Loan Services group. This team includes 6 colleagues responsible for servicing the bank's Commercial Participated portfolio. Responsibilities include processing payments and advances, initiating wire transfers, balancing loans in line with the Agent banks, and working closely with Participant Banks and Internal Business Partners.

Detailed Description:

  • Work independently on an assigned loan portfolio of high dollar Participated/ and Syndicated loans and complete transactions within the terms of the executed credit agreement The position is responsible for working loans that Huntington is a participant in as well as ones where we act as the Agent bank.
  • Other Responsibilities include:
    • Monitor reports daily and wire Participant Banks their agreed upon share of the transactions that occur on the loan during the next business day.
    • Prepare detailed advices to Participant Banks notifying them of recent transactions.
    • Process incoming wires with the guidance of the Agent bank.
    • Process financial transactions and balance batches of work.
    • Receive and interpret loan advices from the agent bank and wire funds when draws are requested same day.
    • Maintain acceptable quality standards.
    • Research discrepancies with loan balances and work closely with Participant Banks, interpreting credit agreements, and reviewing loan and rate history.
    • Assign incoming wires to the appropriate processor and clear within set standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Finance, Banking, and/or Commercial Loan Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Requires a self-starting individual with excellent follow through, time management, analytical thinking and organizational skills. Experience working in a production environment under time constraints and strict deadlines.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience reading and interpreting complex credit agreements.
  • Financial balancing and reconciling experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Experience handling large dollar transactions preferred.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Experience with AFS commercial loan accounting system.
  • Understanding or ability to learn complex business processes involved in Commercial Lending
