Community Development Specialist

Provides administrative support to Community Development Relationship Management team. Primary duties include coordinating volunteer events, preparing reports, compiling documentation for CRA qualified services and donations, and maintaining Community Development Activity database. Additional responsibilities entail providing support to colleague volunteers, business segment partners and community partners.

Duties may include the following:

  • Assist CDRM in coordination and management of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities for an assigned area or region(s)
  • Collect and maintain all required CRA documentation for the area or region(s)
  • Coordinate and facilitate volunteer initiatives in partnership with community groups
  • Facilitate financial education workshops and training sessions
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Follow controls and procedures to ensure risks are measured, monitored and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis
  • Respond to colleague and partner requests related to CRA, volunteerism and donations
  • Complete Departmental self audits and analyze internal and external data to ensure the bank's compliance with CRA
  • Provide reports and data related to CRA programs and community needs
  • Prepare documents and reports for Community Development and Regional Leadership
  • Participate in department and compliance meetings and provide information to support market related updates
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years or more of CRA, community development or data analysis experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience administrative support and/or working with organizations to coordinate events or manage grants or programs

Preferred Qualifications:

* Community Development and/or Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) related experience preferred

* Bachelor degree preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities within deadlines
  • Position requires some travel and may require overnight stays

Other Traits, Characteristics and Experience:

  • MS Suite proficient including experience working with Word, Excel, Access, or other database tools
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up.
  • Administrative support experience preferred
