Compensation Analyst

This position assists in the implementation and administration of Huntington's compensation programs. The selected individual will conduct and participate in compensation surveys as directed. Assists in the position evaluation process and makes recommendations regarding appropriate salary grades. Develops reports and analyses in support of compensation initiatives. Assists with Comp Workbench merit increase administration. Assists in the generation and distribution of various compensation plan documents and related materials. May provide administrative support to various departmental programs/processes.

Detailed Description

  • Manages external salary survey management process including survey participation, creating market composites, importing survey data, and reporting.
  • Builds databases in support of each senior team members business segment
  • Performs compensation analysis for benchmark positions for all business segments including data mining and reporting
  • Coordinates submission of data for annual and ad hoc salary surveys
  • Assists with collection of data for department directed, internal, and external audits
  • Drafts and loads job descriptions into a database and maintains position description files
  • Provides direct support on M&A events
  • Provides support for incentive reporting as needed under direction of senior team member overseeing incentives
  • Provides support and reporting of compensation risk review process
  • Provides support of annual incentive design process through analysis of market data to determine targets
  • Manages offer letter template and coordinates with Talent Acquisition team as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience of a minimum of 5 years of analytical experience in the financial services industry or a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Corporate Human Resources department required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications including MS Access is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Kenexa/IBM CompAnalyst software is preferred
  • Proven communication (verbal and written).
  • Excellent customer service skills are critical.
  • Proven problem-solving skills are critical.
  • Must have proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment with time sensitive confidential materials.
