Job Description

Drives and aid improvements in competitive and industry intelligence, focusing on both objective and subjective information related to banks, non-banks, and specific industry elements in an effort to position Huntington for better strategic planning both in the near term and for future efforts. Collaborates with segment business units and accesses industry and competitor websites, presentations, and reports to gather, maintain and update competitive analysis information; engages directly with third parties, as required, to discuss competitive and industry-related topics.

Manages strategic projects as identified in alignment with strategic planning activities. Develops strategic presentations and recommendations for senior leaders within the segment in order to drive business strategies and decisions; produces consultative insights and reporting from competitive analysis and intelligence research and information. Partners with other segments and corporate functions to collaborate on unified approach for competitive analysis and consultation. Proactively reviews processes and suggest / executes recommendations for continuous improvement of business processes.

Develops critical deliverables within the segment in an effort to aid in the formulation and support of the segment's strategic plan and objectives; supports annual strategic planning cycle and deliverables including the respective operating plan. Creates and maintains SharePoint or other database or tools for strategic intelligence for various competitive elements including sites, lists, libraries, web parts, and others; creates and maintains documentation and confidential retention of information. Performs industry analysis at macro levels for the segments business units -- regional, industry, and third party information. Engages in the new colleague onboarding process to perform competitive intelligence analysis and catalog competitive information for strategic purposes.

 Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years in financial services and one year of consulting or  business intelligence experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
