Job Description

Communications Specialist

• Accountable for developing, coordinating and executing internal and external communications that align and fulfill Huntington's vision, purpose and strategic priorities.

• Serves as a project manager to write, produce or facilitate the development of multiple communication vehicles including articles for company intranet, announcements, talking points, Q&As and other Huntington communications.

• Provides support for communications measurement/survey efforts.

• Provides support to company meetings and events, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Communications and/or Public Relations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills

• Ability to communicate thoughts clearly and simply is essential

• Previous experience with content management systems and public relations/press releases

• Individual with professional presence and known for integrity, flexibility and energy

• Innovative in collaboration with others and problem solving

• Ability to work independently

• Strong writing and reporting skills

• Individuals that thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Microsoft Office skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects

• Knowledge of AP writing style

• Basic photo editing experience
