This full-time Capital Markets analyst position's primary responsibilities will be supporting the Loan Sales and Syndications team by developing and maintaining market analytics, pitch materials and transaction marketing materials to help originate, structure and sell syndicated loans underwritten and arranged by Huntington.


  • Technical Skills -- Team member will have a working knowledge of financial statements enabling him / her to compare and contrast transactions in market and present finding to senior bankers. He or she is expected to maintain a working knowledge of current events in the debt and equity markets, specifically focused on the loan and high yield markets.
  • Research -- Team member will have a working knowledge of financial markets and the research tools available to gather information and incorporate in analysis for and deliverables to senior bankers.
  • Transaction Execution. Team member will be integral in drafting pitch materials including market-based analysis, comparable analysis and syndication strategy. He or she will develop high-quality marketing materials including information memoranda and lender presentations. Team member will proactively and efficiently coordinate execution details among internal constituents while accurately addressing investor diligence questions utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Problem Solving. Team member will be proactive and will identify problems early. He or she will determine accuracy and relevancy of information, and will analyze information effectively to generate and evaluate alternatives and appropriate solutions. Will be results-oriented, going above and beyond to find and implement solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration. Team member will consistently communicate with all pertinent team members and will develop direct dialogue and rapport with borrowers during transaction execution. He or she will collaborate with team members across Huntington during pitch and execution processes.
  • Personal Capability. Team member will demonstrate strong character and is expected to be trusted by all members of the team. This position requires a strong work ethic, sound credit skills, well-developed technical skills, and the ability to be detail oriented while also taking a holistic approach.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to proactively analyze financial statements by identifying trends, weaknesses, industry comparisons and compiling into a comprehensive report
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Maintain an organized workflow and maintain all files in an orderly fashion
