Job Description

Our Senior Corporate Tax Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation and review of federal income tax and partnership returns;
• Preparation and review of state income tax returns, estimates, and extensions;
• Performing detailed analysis of book to tax differences and understanding the technical merits of the differences;
• Researching and analyzing the impact of federal and state legislative changes;
• Partnering with Finance teams to understand the corporate accounting policy changes and special transactions and communicating and analyzing the tax impact of these changes and transactions;
• Performing federal and state tax research and preparing supporting memos;
• Assisting with scheduling for state tax compliance;
• Assisting with assignment, tracking, and review of state tax notices;
• Assisting with preparing summary schedules of state tax attributes;
• Leading state apportionment reconcilement process;
• Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met;
• Assisting with Internal Revenue Service and state audits;
• Facilitating and participating in special projects as necessary; effectively managing project schedule and communicating statuses and challenges with recommended solutions to management.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years in Corporate Tax
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Corporate tax return experience;
• Masters in Tax and/or CPA strongly preferred;
• Familiar with tax compliance systems;
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Fast paced and detail oriented;
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization;
• Ability to prioritize and simultaneously handle deadlines, ad hoc requests, and regular deliverables.
