Job Description

We are expanding our team due to continued growth as an organization. This position will be highly collaborative and cross functional to drive strategies and execution for Credit Card Risk Management and Underwriting policies. This role will work closely with the corporate risk team to remain consistent and compliant. This position will be responsible for pulling data, completing analysis and presenting results along with recommendations to leadership.

• Controls underwriting strategy to include approval, initial credit line assignment and pricing
• Serves as primary credit card risk mitigation sounding board for marketing initiatives
• Analyzes effectiveness of existing credit card underwriting strategies and proposes, implements and monitors changes to promote profitable, risk mitigated portfolio growth
• Continually monitors changes in credit card risk mix in the portfolio and advocates for required strategy adjustments to achieve overall desired mix
• Communicates updates to senior management on standard credit card risk management metrics such as credit card account strategies for first 6 months of each vintage to include activation and balance transfer initiatives

• Distributions of new accounts by credit line, risk scores, price points, product mix, and underwriting segment
• Vintage loss rates
• Risk adjusted margin (RAM)
• Balance transfer performance

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Credit Card Risk Management within Credit policies
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with SAS or SQL coding

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with regulations such as Unfair or Deceptive Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting, and Equal Credit Opportunity
• Strong leadership skills and ability to think analytically and independently
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable presenting to senior management
