The Huntington Credit Training and Development Manager plays an important role in the bank's overall commercial banker development initiatives. Credit training initiatives will generally support the needs of all commercially oriented lines of business, including Regional Middle Market and Specialty Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Huntington Auto Finance, Huntington Equipment Finance, Asset Based Lending, and Business Banking. This position may be filled at any location within the HNB footprint.

The Huntington Credit Training and Development Manager:

  • Facilitates the development of credit curriculum and content to be delivered through the Huntington Credit College, Commercial Banker Development Program, and other venues in support of the continued development of Huntington's best-in-class credit culture.
  • Works under the direction of the Huntington Senior Commercial Approval Officer and in close coordination with the Commercial Banker Development Program and Performance Development.
  • Works with internal subject matter experts in the development and delivery of credit-related training content through live in-person, live on-line and on-demand channels.
  • Serve as a facilitator of programs run by the Huntington Credit College.Performs other duties as assigned in support of RCO Administration, including Board level reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 or more years' combination of commercial/business banking, credit analysis, and training experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A passion for learning and teaching
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various internal and external partners at all levels of the organization
  • Program planning and light project management skills
  • Strong editing skills
  • Strong writing skills, including ability to transform content developed by others into powerful presentations suitable for the live and on-line training environment
  • Skills associated with production and delivery of live and on-line content, including use of Skype, PowerPoint, and screen-cast capture and editing software (such as Camtasia). Experience with any specific software product is not required, but the candidate must demonstrate an ability to master new technology and software
  • Comfort with working with and speaking in front of medium sized groups (25-100 people live and 100-500 on-line)
  • Prior internal training experience preferred
  • Prior experience in commercial banking preferred
  • Ability to travel during session
