Employee Benefits Section Manager

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Employee Benefit client service team in the Northwest Ohio and Michigan regions of Huntington Insurance.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Establishing and maintaining high levels of customer service for clients; setting service standards; developing, training, measuring and improving client-focused activities, services and initiatives.
• Acts as a resource for systems, products, carriers and processes and maintains a high level of product line knowledge.
• Coaches and mentors team in order to achieve high performance levels and analyzes staffing needs.
• Supports the sales team in new business and client retention efforts.
• Manages 15 direct reports.
• Will be responsible for traveling to Michigan twice per month and to Columbus, Ohio once per month.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, must have a minimum of 7 years of Employee Benefits experience
• Minimum of 5 years of Employee Benefits experience required (experience working at a carrier or agency preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years in management or a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Document management experience preferred
• Worksmart or Vertifore experience preferred
