Job Description

Our Finance Expense Forecasting Specialist will coordinate occupancy and equipment depreciation expense budgeting and forecasting with segment leadership and segment finance support.

  • Prepare detailed reporting on current and proposed capital spends and depreciation expense.
  • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting for NBV of fixed assets, depreciation and inter-company rent expenses.
  • Analyze monthly results and provide comprehensive variance analysis of occupancy and equipment depreciation expense against budget and forecast, providing review and recommendations to segment management.
  • Work with segment management teams around strategies as they relate to Cap X spends and their associated depreciation expense.
  • Work with key management on strategic initiatives and business case modeling and drive results towards budget and forecast.
  • Interface, present, and defend budgets and forecasts with senior segment leadership on key issues.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for segment and finance management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 + years of financial analyst/accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preference: Finance/Accounting.
  • Experience with fixed assets, capital spending and depreciation expense forecasting preferred.
  • Experience designing and building financial reporting and forecasting tools in MS Excel including Essbase/Smart View.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Understand the concept of materiality and possess solid understanding of what drives variances.
  • Collaborative personality - ability to manage different points of view and build positive relationships across the organization.
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, be inquisitive and be able to handle stress with composure and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with many levels of management.
  • Some weekend and late evening work required.
