Job Description

This Segment Risk Specialist Senior reports up through our Corporate Risk Group and supports our Finance/Accounting segment. You have responsibility for supporting multiple risk programs within the segment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Process mapping specialist - Assisting with process mapping exercises throughout the finance segment using Visio and your strong understanding of process documentation including risk identification and control development.
  • Production of monthly corporate finance risk reports.
  • Liaison to assigned business units within Finance and Accounting.
    • Responsible for preparation of quarterly risk assessments, participation at key meetings, involvement in high risk issues, reviews of controls and process maps.
    • Maintenance of findings and action plans for these units.
    • Assist in the timely remediation of issues.
  • Developing a strong knowledge of the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management System (Archer), you will be the Finance segment's Archer specialist and will coordinate the rollout of system changes to the Finance risk team.
  • Maintenance of finance corporate risk metrics in Archer.
  • Liaison between model risk management and segment model owners.
    • Monitor finance compliance with model risk policies.
    • Periodic evaluation of model changes and updates of model inventories.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree. Four additional years of segment-specific or risk experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 or more years' experience which may be a combination of Finance, Accounting, Audit and Risk experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preference: Finance or Accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and other Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle deadlines, ad hoc requests, and regular deliverables.
