Job Description

The Retail Investment Specialist Team Leader position provides "Simply the Best" customer service and leadership at all times. Responsibilities include directing the investment sales for an assigned group of banking office Personal Bankers through training, goal setting, and marketing plans. Develops and maintains profitable broker relationships. The individual filling this dynamic position will:

  • Direct the investment sales for an assigned group of banking office Personal Bankers through training, goal setting, marketing plans and daily support.
  • Develop and maintain profitable broker relationships with individual clients to meet investment objectives.
  • Sell company executives/HR representatives on benefits and responsibilities of providing retirement education opportunities for their employees and conduct energetic, enthusiastic and results-oriented seminars for groups of employees with the primary goal to get them to set an appointment with an Investment Representative for a retirement planning session.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulations, policies, and record keeping requirements, and maintain current knowledge of market conditions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent of 2 years in the Financial Industry required
  • 3 years' successful investment sales experience
  • Must have Series 6, Life and Health licenses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must obtain Series 7 license within six (6) months of date of hire
  • Must obtain obtain Series 65 and/or 66 within one (1) year of date of hire
  • Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor must be obtained within 12 months of employment
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work successfully, independently, and proactively in a team environment required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including interpersonal and influencing skills needed to interact with individuals at all economic levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • PC and internet proficiency
