The Financial Systems Manager (FSM) will support the Forecasting & Planning (F&P) reporting, process, and enhancements for the company. He/she will serve as a strategic business planning partner working with business process owners, business units, and IT to formulate enhancement options to address specific reporting needs, functional issues, and requirements. He/she will participate in the design, evaluation, testing and implementation of report development, system break fixes, enhancements, projects, and other reporting and/or system updates. The FSM will provide daily support to end user community, identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop training/communication materials. The FSM will also participate as a key stakeholder in the IT Controls program.

The ideal candidate should have either a strong accounting or planning background and have solid experience in reporting tools, data management and financial system or reporting implementations at a Corporate, Segment or Business Unit level. This candidate should be familiar with reporting, business analytics and forecasting solutions and be able to work with various entities to streamline existing processes

​This position reports to the Financial Information Director.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of planning and reporting environments for the Bank. This includes all scheduled application and reporting environment upgrades along with user requested enhancements deemed necessary for finance planning and reporting.
  • Management of all data flows into the planning and reporting environments, including governance and validation of hierarchies, security groups, and financial data.
  • Work with Finance and Business Segments to understand and support their process and data needs within the various planning and reporting environments.
  • Assist in developing and driving reporting technology roadmap. Lead in development of best practice principles to facilitate change and end user adoption of new technologies.
  • Provide consultation for Finance Planning Systems on various platforms (Hierarchy, FTP, Profitability, ALM, GL).
  • Provide oversight for governance and monitoring of finance system compliance in accordance with company policies, standards and SOX requirements through the development, maintenance and adherence to change control processes.

Job Requirements

 Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in financial discipline or information technology
  • 10 years in banking or financial segment support
  • 5 years in management/supervisory role
  • 3 years in financial data analysis/reporting
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management across the organization.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge in data analysis tools (Oracle SQL Developer/Microsoft SSMS/SAS)
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) platforms
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase
  • Understanding of policies regarding data and risk controls of information flowing into the applications, rules, internally developed tools, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, work independently, and understand complex reporting environments.
