Job Description

In the Home Lending segment, manages a Processing team through subordinate managers, supervisors, or team leads. Responsible for meeting operational objectives by leading Processors to daily, weekly, and monthly production goals. Oversees pipeline management and monitors quality and service level thresholds. Provides continuous training and support and develops systems based on best practices. Implements new policies and procedures in support of compliance and regulatory requirements. Resolves issues that are strategic or compliance related. Monitors, analyzes and reports on the area productivity to senior management. Acts as a liaison with other departments including Sales, Closing, and Underwriting.

  • Oversight of the Processing team to deliver a consistent experience in support of the predictable customer journey including timely customer contact, meeting requested loan closing date, and targeted turn times.
  • Pipeline management including meeting established production, quality, and turn time expectations
  • Continually assesses the skill and knowledge of Processing team and provides necessary coaching as well as addresses performance management issues as needed
  • Assist Processors in understanding underwriting decisions and conditions.
  • Effectively communicate both company policy and procedure updates as well as regulatory changes, industry trends, and business initiatives
  • Maintains through knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrates professional ethics and complies with all Federal, State, and Bank requirements
  • Assist in resolving and responds to customer concerns related to the loan process and overall customer experience
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and collaborates with stakeholders to implement solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 7 or more years of mortgage operations/management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 3 or more years of management experience
  • Proven track record in effectively leading a team of mortgage operations colleagues as well as building, reviewing and implementing training, process improvements, and efficient process flows in support of business objectives
  • Ability to take action and a commitment to achieving sustainable results
  • Possess strong knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines and automated underwriting engines
  • Organized and possesses the ability to effectively handle competing priorities
  • Exceptional knowledge of the mortgage process and supporting documents
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
