Job Description

Our Consumer & Business Banking Segment is seeking a candidate with a broad understanding of established risk management programs and practices with an emphasis on broker-dealer and investment advisory businesses. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, results oriented and able to operate effectively with senior leaders at all levels of the organization. Must understand process design and controls. Attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills is mandatory. Success in the role requires the ability to forge productive working relationships with business colleagues to proactively identify, assess and communicate risks. THIS POSITION MAY BE FILLED AT A HIGHER LEVEL, BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

Additional responsibilities include:


• Proactive identification and escalation of all risk issues requiring attention to senior management.
• Drive risk awareness in the business and strengthen alignment between risk management and strategic business objectives.
• Collaborate with business colleagues to develop action plans and manage issues to timely resolution.
• Develop and monitor appropriate key risk indicators for assigned units and take action as needed based on adverse readings.
• Provide subject matter expertise and partner with business colleagues to administer compulsory risk programs in assigned units.
• Partner with unit managers to ensure complete documentation of key processes including process mapping and policy / desktop procedures.
• Work with other lines of defense and risk management peers to deliver an integrated control framework for the assigned units.

Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree required and advanced degree or certifications preferred;
• 7 years of progressively responsible risk management experience required; knowledge of broker-dealers and investment advisory regulations and associated risk required.

• Advanced degree
• Licences 7, 63, 24, Life and Health
