Insurance Sales and Service Manager

Our life insurance department is growing and we're looking for an outstanding candidate to lead a team and help execute our omni-channel life insurance distribution strategy. This candidate will lead a team of account managers as well as guide the execution of our life insurance strategy. The timing is terrific as we align all of life insurance sales support under one division at Huntington.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a team that is located across the footprint that provides sales and service support for the distribution of life insurance at Huntington for all distribution channels

- Execute our omni-channel life insurance distribution strategy including digital, retail, advanced life and cross sell, including relationship management, process redesign, and risk management.

- Serve as a subject matter expert for projects and initiatives

- Develop and maintain carrier and brokerage general agency relationships across life product lines

- Collaborate on process and relationships with multiple Huntington line of business segments including private bank, commercial, business banking and retail

- Review, adjust, monitor and execute policies and procedures related to life insurance

- Champion corporate policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Work with management to develop and apply effective risk management processes and controls.

-20% travel throughout Huntington's footprint

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience of a minimum of 9 years of experience in the life insurance industry
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the life insurance industry
  • Series 6 & Life and Health license is required. If candidate doesn't have their Series 6 & Life and Health license upon hire, they will be required to obtain it within 45 days of hire.

  • Experience working in a consumer-centric company
  • Ability to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes. Consistently model and inspire high levels of professional demeanor and integrity.
