Job Description

Congratulations on your December graduation!!! Put into play all that you've learned in your Bachelor's degree and we'll help jump start your career as an Internal Auditor.

You will develop your auditing skills, communication skills with upper management, and expand your banking knowledge through the planning, execution, and reporting of multiple audit engagements for Huntington's business segments. We'll provide you with the training you need, you'll provide your high energy, ability to understand, research, and analyze complex subjects, with the drive and focus to meet deadlines. You will:

  • Independently and as part of a team, perform internal audit functions on a variety of topics, including policies, processes, systems, financial, and regulatory changes. You will analyze the results and report the findings, along with recommendations that will impact the business segment and reduce risk.
  • Interact with audit management and team members. as well as business segment leaders during audit engagements and perform audits in accordance with department and professional standards.
  • Interact with various compliance, financial and technology auditors while performing responsibilities.
  • Develop your skill set in planning audit activities.
  • Develop your knowledge of the business segments you support to help you in recognizing gaps and making change recommendations.
  • Work towards obtaining certifications that will enhance your audit skill set, i.e. CIA, CPA, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internal audit, public accounting, or banking experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preference - Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics
  • Professional certification (CPA, CIA, etc.) or progress toward certification preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, banking regulations and/or auditing standards a plus
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of individuals across the organization
  • Strong analytical, PC & Internet skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Access, ACL or Visio experience a plus
