Job Description

In support of the Mortgage Loan Servicing Department, the Mortgage Insurance Process Administrator, acts as a subject matter expert and performs daily operational processes including but not limited to the following: 

  • Ensure data integrity of the loan portfolio.
  • Ensure Private Mortgage Insurance / Mortgage Insurance Premium (PMI/MIP) payments and maintenance are completed by required deadlines.
  • Process all automatic terminations and Borrower requested cancelations within HPA/Investor guidelines.
  • Ensure accuracy of MI after final modifications are processed.
  • Interacts directly with PMI insurers, HUD, Borrowers and various levels of management.
  • Handle internal/external problems/exceptions.
  • Assist with responses to regulatory examinations and audits including information gathering and analysis of the data.
  • Implement, monitor, and successfully complete special projects as required/assigned.
  • Assist in developing and updating procedures as MI regulations or processes change.  

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year mortgage banking experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Familiarity with the Homeowner's Protection Act of 1998, (HPA), RESPA, OCC & CFPB regulations related to Mortgage Insurance (PMI/MIP).
  • Black Knight MSP experience with emphasis and recent experience with the Mortgage Insurance Workstation
  • Experience with PMI/MIP payments, FHA insuring and holder/servicer transfers within FHA Connection.
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated, fast paced financial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of loan operations and compliance/regulatory guidelines.
  • Focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proven leadership skills required, including the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to be flexible and work independently.
