Operational Risk Manager. -- Execution, Delivery & Process Management Group (EDPM) in Columbus at Huntington

Job Description

Our Operational Risk Manager position will report into the EDPM Operational Risk Director. The role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, reporting, documenting and mapping Business Segment process and related risk data. The position will work collaboratively with the Operational Risk Director to support EDPM 2nd level oversight and to implement corporate operational risk strategy, framework and scorecards.

Responsibilities:


• Track, analyze and report on EDPM operational risk data trends and metrics.
• Assess 1st-line risk ratings and review processes to validate control effectiveness.
• Ensure business process risks are well documented and rated in ERMS (Enterprise Risk Management System). Leverage ERMS functionality to deliver regular EDPM scorecards and management reporting.
• Monitor pertinent key EDPM risk indicators. Validate alignment of risk appetite to tolerance thresholds. Support the development of EDPM ORM framework including the development of scorecards and dashboards.
• Identify gaps in current and emerging risk trends and escalate as appropriate.
• Recommend solutions for negative EDPM risk trends. Participate and co-facilitate work groups to address and resolve issues where applicable.
• Help facilitate rollout of EDPM operational risk strategies and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Op Risk policies, procedures, maps and manuals as required.
• Participate in cross Operational risk team projects as needed.
• Routinely seek and collect informal Voice of Colleague feedback on EDPM opportunities.



Basic Qualifications:


• 3 or more years of combined experience in risk, audit, or compliance and experience in six sigma/continuous improvement functions that include analysis of large data sets and trends (Please detail on your resume).
• Bachelor's Degree. 4 additional years of risk experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Ability to identify data, trends and gaps and draw meaningful conclusions from that data.
• Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Green Belt certification including process mapping.
• Ability to work independently/proactively on multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills. Ability to present and discuss results in a clear, concise and effective manner.
• Demonstrated understanding of 'end-to-end' operational processes and considerations.
• Experience with Archer (ERMS) or risk tool.
• Ability to complete projects independently or as part of a team.
• PC & Internet proficient. Includes Excel and PowerPoint.
• Financial Services risk experience.
