Job Description

Candidate must be flexible during volume increases and staff shortages and be available to work an alternate work week to include but not limited to weekend shifts. In addition, available to work overtime as required.

Detailed Description: Responsible for researching and resolving customer issues and inquiries related to Certificates of Deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts (includes file maintenance and monetary adjustments). Customer inquiries are received via the Customer Research System (PSON/PEGA), mail and telephone. Excellent customer service skills are critical as customer contact includes internal customer-facing colleagues as well as external retail customers. Colleague will be expected to quickly become familiar with all departmental processes so they can explain all aspects of the products, transaction processing, IRS rules and tax reporting in response to customer inquiries. Will also be expected to calculate state and federal withholding, update tax reporting, verify and monitor proper completion of standard account forms. Peak volume occurs from December through April. During this period overtime is possible. During times of low call and case volume, colleague will be expected to leverage knowledge of other team research functions to remain productive during regularly scheduled hours.

Basic Qualifications:

*High School diploma or GED required

*1+ years of banking experience in a customer service, or transactional research position required

*Experience working with bank deposit system, online report viewing and customer information file (CIF or CIS) systems required

*Demonstrated knowledge of bank transactional processing procedures, transactional balancing and general ledger required

Preferred Qualifications:

*Organized with a demonstrated ability to complete projects, and resolve problems and work independently with a high degree of accuracy

*Proficiency using 10-key calculator and Microsoft Office PC software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

*Excellent oral and written communication skills

*Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, complete tasks in a timely/accurate manner and adapt to change

*Demonstrated dependability and punctuality

*CD and IRA product knowledge preferred

*IRS tax code related to IRAs, and tax reporting (1099R/5498) knowledge preferred

*Demonstrate a sense of urgency and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

*Team-oriented and customer-focused
