Job Description

The Credit Card Specialist works individually and as a team to meet and exceed established service and sales goals. Provides outstanding service to maintain and build relationships with banking and credit card customers.

In the Credit Card Specialist role you will:

  • Become part of a new cutting edge team, where you will have engaging conversations to develop brand loyalty to the Huntington brand - including credit card balance transfers, reward redemption's and education, product referrals etc.
  • Assist customers with credit card account maintenance requests and service inquiries by answering balance and transaction inquiries, updating account information, submitting research requests, and performing credit card maintenance.
  • Assist customers with their daily banking needs by recognizing cross-sell opportunities like online banking, balance transfers, mobile alerts, overdraft protection, etc.
  • Work individually and as a team to meet and exceed established goals, such as referral goals, call handle time goals, availability goals and quality goals.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on all Huntington products, services, technology, and procedures
  • Resolve customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage calls efficiently and adhere to work schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of previous call center and/or credit card experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate professional communication, negotiation, problem solving, and sales skills
  • Ability to be upbeat in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Great attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and the Internet
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • High degree of professionalism and polish
  • Understanding of computers; candidate must be able to easily navigate a computer, toggle between multiple screens and applications, and have basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
