Job Description

Seeking a Junior Product Manager in the Deposit and Liquidity product space to advance the strategic objective to maximize liquidity. Our Product Management team manages the strategic direction, product development, pricing strategy, vendor selection / management, marketing and sales support for our products. Our Product Managers are also responsible for knowing the full financial impact of these products and providing analytical support to maximize performance. The junior product manager will assist Product managers with these objectives, with the goal of training and developing into Product Managers themselves.

Key Responsibilities include

  • DACA product support. Investigating DACA account problems, and assisting in setting up new accounts. Also reporting and analysis of this product.
  • OPCP product support. This will include assistance in managing the UDT, liaising with the field about new accounts, and agreement renewals, and assisting with finding a longer term solution for the UDT.
  • Supporting the Deposit and Liquidity Product Managers with their responsibilities listed below:
    • Products include, but may not be limited to, MMA, Hybrid Checking, Notice Accounts, Public Funds Accounts, and Liquidity solutions like Auto Credit Sweep, AFI, and Deposit Control Agreements
    • Analytics in support of the Commercial Deposit and Liquidity strategy, including finding best practices and opportunity industries.
    • Maintenance of Products, including understanding the way they work, troubleshooting issues, documenting, and maintaining strong working relationship with Operations.
    • Supporting the sales teams by developing and implementing strategies, marketing campaigns and sales aids as well as client specific strategies during the sales cycle. This also includes offering technical sales assistance on strategy and pricing for RFP's
    • Educating TMSA's, RM's, PM, and CA's to understand the value proposition of the product, and specific nuances of the product.
    • Reporting and Analysis on the performance of the products, including balances, fees, pricing, client lists, product performance, and various risk metrics.
    • Development of new products, and product enhancements to support the overall deposit and liquidity strategy of Commercial Division, and the bank as a whole.
    • Manage the risk assessments, policies, and practices to support a moderate to low risk objectives
    • Manage vendor relationships related to the liquidity and deposit products

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related major, or 3 to 5 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • One year minimum experience in Sales, Service, Finance or Operations experience in Business Banking, Commercial Banking, or Treasury Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally, both in writing and presenting
  • Work independently as an individual contributor and/or as part of a team.
  • Candidates must be a hands-on self-starter with a strong-problem solving orientation. The ability to be effective and operate independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment is critical.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (i.e. Pivot tables)
