The Federal Reserve, in cooperation with the Treasury Department and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, convened the Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC) to work with market participants to identify options for replacing US Dollar LIBOR. In July 2017, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority emphasized the urgency and importance of the efforts and implored industry participants to work in earnest on the transition to alternative reference rates that are based firmly on transactions. The ARRC recommended Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) as the USD alternative reference rate. The transition from LIBOR to SOFR benchmark rate will be a significant undertaking for many banks as it will impact multiple lines of businesses, multiple systems, documents and many customers.

Huntington has established a LIBOR Transition Program Team and we are urgently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Program Manager to lead us through key initiatives and ultimately, a successful transition.

Through leadership, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion, responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple Business Segment Product Re-Design and Development, Rate Implementation and Pricing Strategy Sub-Projects for Derivatives, Commercial and Business Loans, Mortgages and Auto Busines segments.
  • Managing the development of end-2-end current state workflow maps for all business segments including Capital Markets, Commercial and Business Loans, Mortgages and Auto.
  • Managing the development of the "To-Be" Future State Dual and Multi Rate workflows and process maps for parallel product issuances for above business segments.
  • Leading the analysis and documentation of the Gap Analysis and aggregate new product process maps with the assigned business analyst/s and assigned project teams.
  • Leading the development of a "Master Product Re-design" that includes the scheduling of development and production timelines to align with business segment product priorities as well as market and regulatory developments.
  • Through close partnership with the business segment leaders in this workstream as well as supporting segment functions, meeting the objectives of key work streams as well as engagement with other workstreams across multiple segments.
  • Capturing and documenting the firms' risks related to the LIBOR transition.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Program / Project Manager or Banking/Finance Industry project experience.
  • 7+ years in the financial services or banking industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading teams through process reengineering and workflow development.
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional matrixed business transformational programs and projects.
  • Aptitude in both business and technology, with the ability to draw conclusions based on correlating data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain project risks and issues, and IT related concepts clearly and concisely to multiple layers of peers and leadership.
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility with leadership, team members, and business partners and establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to initiate and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements
  • Commercial lending knowledge, ready to take ownership and accountability, organizational/prioritization skills, proactive, ability to multitask.
  • Understanding of LIBOR driven and other banking products including knowledge of interest rate derivatives and fixed income markets, treasury (Risk Management, Funding, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets).
