Regional/LOB Credit Administrator in the RCO Administration department


• Responsible for Business Banking credit approval administration and review activities to ensure that proposed loans adhere to existing policy guidelines, that documentation is adequate to ensure security of collateral and that ongoing administration and review is adequate to maintain the loan portfolio's quality and profitability.
• Participates in credit structuring and negotiation strategy discussions with officer/business unit including active participation in customer calling program.
• Provides information, guidance and direction regarding credit policy, credit goals and current credit issues to officer/business unit.
• May be responsible for managing a portfolio of loans within a line of business.
• Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility whether a supervisor, manager or individual contributor.
• Establishes or works with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis.
• If applicable, ensures staff is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources and motivated to adhere to risk management principles.
• Maintains current knowledge of risk-related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Coaches; schedules; makes recommendations regarding performance management, hiring, terminations, and/or salary adjustments.

Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in business/commercial credit underwriting/administration .



Preferred Qualifications:




• Major in finance or accounting.
• Direct experience in Business Banking credit underwriting/administration
• Completion of formal credit training program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage others.
• Highly developed analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound credit decisions independently
• Demonstrated proficiency in all facets of commercial credit underwriting
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles, marketing and sales, credit analysis
• Demonstrated experience training / coaching a team
• Must have excellent written and verbal (face to face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
• Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
• Highly motivated, focused and goal oriented
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up -ability to handle multiple priorities and independently problem solve
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications to include Excel and Outlook
