TITLE: Regional Marketing Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Orchestrates and leverages a complex mix of market dynamics and marketing tools within the regions to shape and foster the local Brand and business effectiveness of Huntington maximize OCR opportunities. This spans creating and sustaining strategic partnerships in the community, positioning and supporting key members of the Regional Huntington Leadership team in influential community positions, and supporting each segment with local marketing programming to grow their business. This colleague will represent and assist in building Huntington's brand and purchase preference through sponsorships, events, and local market engagement. They will partner with the national Regional Marketing Team, Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing to deliver the Brand locally in a relevant and distinctive way. Bringing the Brand to life locally will be critical to Huntington's success going forward.

GOALS:

  • Position Huntington as quintessentially local in each market
  • Assist Regional President and key members of the management team in capturing a true leadership platform in the community
  • Serves as active member of the Region's Leadership team
  • Serve as the Region's conduit to Regional Marketing, Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing
  • Be an active partner with the Regional President to craft and deliver the appropriate messages to the right stakeholders in the community and internally, as well
  • Champion the two-way communication with colleagues to reinforce key messages and provide timely feedback; regional Essentials updates, officer meetings, town halls, email communications, etc.
  • Identify media opportunities and speaking engagements for both Regional and Corporate leadership in partnership with Corporate Communications
  • Actively help build and support strategic partnerships with the media, non-profits, the educational community, and selected businesses
  • Identify signature events and causes that provide a platform for Huntington's message and involvement
  • Partner with the national Regional Marketing team to execute a strategic event strategy
  • Facilitate an efficient and productive flow of information
  • Represent the region effectively in working with national regional marketing to best leverage national programs as well as share local best practices and programs
  • Manage local tickets and tables, as well as, lead measurement of effectiveness of events
  • Work with Regional President and Community Development Relationship Manager to develop strategic partnerships to ensure we are meeting our local CRA goals and commitments
  • Maintain close oversight and control of assigned marketing budgets, secure agreed upon review and approval at both the regional ELT level and Corporate Marketing business case and creative review processes
  • Take ownership of marketing/communications related risk; ensure appropriate legal and compliance reviews/approvals; maintain a current Compliance/Legal review file
