Description

Relationship Sales Associates work individually and as a team to meet and exceed established goals while providing exceptional customer service to internal/external customers by delivering prompt and accurate answers to telephone banking customers and identifying new opportunities and solutions.

Provides customer service including opening new accounts, researching problems, explaining bank policies and procedures. Anticipates customer needs and cross sells appropriate bank products and services making sales referrals and expanding customer relationships.

Detailed Description

  • Performs inbound phone sales with focus on building existing customer relationships using multiple Huntington products.
  • Anticipating customer needs.
  • Opening new accounts and cross selling bank products.
  • Research customer situations.
  • Explain bank policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on all promotions and lending requirements.
  • Comply with bank security practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience in a relational and/or needs based sales environment required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate negotiation, problem solving, and sales skills.
  • Must be a team player with a genuine enthusiasm for providing Simply the Best Service to customers and Essential Partners.
  • Related financial product experience beneficial.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Understanding of computers required; candidate must be able to easily navigate a computer, toggle between multiple screens and applications, and have basic knowledge of Microsoft applications

** Must be flexible. Shifts available are both 1st and 2nd but are on a first come, first serve basis. Candidates must be open to work any consistent shift available based on the needs of the business, which will include 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day each week as part of their normal permanent unchanging schedule. The days off would be staggered and not back to back. Flexibility to work Weekends and Holidays is required.
