Reporting Data Analyst in Columbus at Huntington

This position can be located at Columbus Easton Building or at the Akron Cascade Building

Analyst will support a variety of groups within Consumer Default. Responsible for reporting, analyses, process solutions and support of multiple systems. Will utilize a variety of tools including Excel, Oracle, SQL, and business intelligence tools.

Detailed Job Description:

  • Work on various projects to support the Portfolio Risk Services group
  • Produce detailed and accurate documentation of product output
  • Ability to work closely with all levels of staff to provide reliable data, reports, and analysis products upon which informed decisions can be made
  • Work in depth with various business areas to understand processes and procedures
  • Proactively identify existing processes and procedures that can be streamlined and automated
  • Understanding of the development life cycle and database technologies and concepts
  • Continue to study, learn new skills, and keep existing skills up-to-date on database technologies and reporting tools

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years' experience involving data mining, data analysis and report creation for lines of business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Database, SQL, and/or PL/SQL. Other SQL databases can be considered. This must be listed on your resume
  • Strong reporting skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and pivot tables
  • Can work independently or within a group with little or no supervision producing consistently exceptional work
  • Experience in Default Servicing
  • Analysis skills to interview and gather requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and demonstrates an accountability for their work
  • Positive attitude and ability to learn multiple subjects at the same time
  • Skills in teamwork, communication; adaptability; organizational technique, and decision making
  • Makes use of clear logic in processes so others can easily maintain that process
  • Knowledge of programming language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, understands, and interprets end-customer requirement
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical related field highly preferred
  • Understanding of the development life cycle
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Ability to work non-standard hours when required
