Job Description

Retirement Plan Service Specialist - Provides first line sales and service support for Retirement Plan clients. Partners with one or more Retirement Plan Relationship Managers and/or Sales Consultant to deliver exceptional sales and service models to current and prospective clients.

  • Retirement Plan Service Specialist II is responsible for the day to day activities and interaction between the client and Huntington in terms of establishment, documentation, maintenance and servicing of the relationship.
  • Works directly with Plan Sponsors and Huntington personnel to build rapport
  • Assists the Relationship Manager and Sales Consultant by processing and maintaining documentation, resolving discrepancies, and preparing for meetings and presentations.
  • May attend client or prospect meetings, presentations and events with an officer or independently.
  • Prepares various internal reports, memos and correspondence.
  • Services customers and their employees by providing detailed information on specific accounts with a variety of plan record keepers.
  • Responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing and resolving complex problems with accounts.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge on products, services, departmental systems and related technology, policies and procedures. Responsible for focus and awareness of identifying, assessing and managing risk and adhering to policy and procedure acknowledgements. Participate in identifying issues of concern and keeping department management informed as needed.
  • Other duties include answering telephones and filing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 1 or more years' experience in an administrative support role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently
Administrative support experience within retirement industry preferred
