Job Description

The Segment Assurance Specialist, Sr. is responsible for conducting testing engagements to assess the accuracy and completeness of data within the Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS) and the segments' adherence to corporate policies and procedures. This role will also be responsible for ongoing data monitoring at a segment level.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting detailed reviews to evaluate the validity, accuracy, and completeness of data entered into ERMS (i.e. risks, key controls, and metrics, etc.) as well as related data maintained outside of ERMS that represents supporting documentation.
  • Assessing adequacy of control design, testing strategies, and test execution.
  • Ongoing monitoring reporting.
  • Accurately analyzing and evaluating data to support conclusions.
  • Writing reports at the segment level and assisting with writing at the enterprise level for reviews performed.
  • Communicating, reporting, and tracking findings due for remediation to Risk Management teams.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with Segment Risk Management teams through continuous and proactive communication.
  • Validating quality and completeness of action plans prior to submission for closure.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree. An additional 2 years of risk, audit or compliance experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 3 or more years of work experience analyzing information in risk, audit, or compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS).
  • Business Segment Risk experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management procedures/principles including experience analyzing risks, controls, root cause, and making assessments.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, think independently, analyze, solve problems, and develop solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience reviewing others work and providing feedback in a professional and concerted way.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute various tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by department manager.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office based Applications.
