Job Description

Our Segment Risk Manager position will support the Finance and Accounting Segment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of operations and risks related to Finance and Accounting business applications
  • Assess, design, refine, and implement as necessary controls or other risk management mechanisms to mitigate risks to business applications or supporting processes
  • Partner with business unit, compliance, and other departments to assist in managing and reporting on risks and controls relating to applications managed by segment
  • Provide an independent view of business activities to ensure effective controls are in place to mitigate risks relating to applications managed by segment
  • Develop and implement adequate testing plans for key controls and monitoring and reporting on results relating to applications managed by segment
  • Provide risk related and/or project support as needed to Segment Risk Managers
  • Complete periodic analysis and providing information to complete the Risk Control Self-Assessment
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of, maintaining, and generating reporting from the Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree. Four additional years of finance-specific or risk experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 or more years' experience in risk or audit within a financial institution or in a finance/accounting function.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CRISC).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL or another query language to query data and join complex data sources.
  • Ability to maintain high data quality and generate reporting from ERMS and/or other data repositories.
  • Ability to utilize excel and other tools to complete queries, data analysis, and risk reporting.
  • Ability to review processes and identify risks and controls.
  • Project-oriented with the ability and desire to analyze processes and data, identify and bring forward challenges and potential solutions, create and maintain reports, and communicate findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a comfort presenting information in front of groups.
  • Comfortable actively participating and voicing perspective in team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with an established personal system for managing time, deadlines, and documentation.
  • Accustomed to fast-paced, rapidly evolving situations with the ability to quickly re-sort priorities based on changing circumstances.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Take a team building approach with business partners.
