Job Description

As the Senior Business Systems Analyst with a focus on Profitability and Credit Loss, this position will partner with the Credit Administration team to create scope, requirements, data mappings, testing, and process workflows for a new credit loss program. Based on Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations, we are building out the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) program and this person will function as the BSA for that program and server as a liaison between business and IT. This new technology will be facilitated in new SAS modules.

As the internal CECL BSA, this person will become very knowledgeable on how the CECL system works and be able to answer questions, test production changes, document system enhancements, and review the impact of future vendor changes on the software. The Role will be required to work closely with the business Credit Risk and technical EDW and SAS teams. Typical BSA duties will be, but not limited to:

  • Work with the Business Lead to ensure the goals and objectives of the project are captured within the project's scope.
  • Help coordinate and facilitate the project's scope and requirements elicitation sessions as necessary.
  • Work with the Business Lead to ensure the project's requirements are captured and trace back to the project's scope.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the BSA team that may be comprised of multiple impacted application teams.
  • Responsible for communicating the status of impacted application BSA's requirements.
  • Participate in the review and/or approval of key project deliverables (e.g., Design and Test Plans) and helps ensure they tie back to the project's scope and requirements.
  • Participate in the identification, quantification and mitigation of project risks and issues.
  • Understand and adhere to all project lifecycle processes and standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT SDLC, BSA or Data Mapping experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of banking, financial, or Credit Modeling experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CECL knowledge
  • SAS knowledge
  • Knowledge of Profitability terms and conditions
  • Ability to work independently and multi task within a collaborative work environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational and analytical skills
  • Willingness and aptitude for continuous improvement (new technical concepts and skills)
