Senior Project Manager

Serve as the primary contact and project manager for a broad range of strategic, risk, and tactical projects. Represent and support the business segment needs on complex, highly visible or cross functional initiatives.

In accordance with HBI project methodology, provides leadership that promotes and supports the development, implementation and completion of medium to large size projects. These projects are typically characterized as having high visibility and risk, involve multiple business units and impact multiple software applications. This senior level position would manage the most complex and highest visibility projects, and would typically require proven, senior-level project management skills. Works with business unit manager(s) and project sponsor to establish the project scope, deliverables, budget and schedule. Supports the assigned business segment goals by providing project management services. Assembles project team and manages the project on-going, identifying risks, implementing changes, monitoring and communicating progress. Ensures team members are managed effectively and kept informed of all related issues. Ensures project deliverables meet customer needs.

Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility whether a supervisor, manager or individual contributor. Establishes or works with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis. If applicable, ensures staff is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources and motivated to adhere to risk management principles. Maintains current knowledge of risk-related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of project management

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 5 years of banking experience with knowledge of Retail Banking
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP)methodologies to process improvement initiatives preferred
  • Excellent customer service and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to utilize MS Office Suite, Visio and MS Project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high visibility projects meeting deadlines
