Job Description

Huntington's corporate and retail branch spaces across the footprint must continuously be analyzed to optimize efficiency of the spaces in response to changing business segment needs and growth, and to meet strategic real estate goals. This position provides tactical and strategic space planning and occupancy management expertise to manage the supply, capacity and demand of an assigned portfolio of corporate and retail spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Create space planning design and cost-effective solutions for colleagues in support of office relocations, space consolidations, space reconfigurations, new construction and renovations, that align with corporate real estate strategies and workplace standards. Space plans include furniture layouts/specifications, equipment layouts and branding placement.
- Interface with executive and senior segment leaders to gather space programming requirements and facilitate the presentation, review and approval of space plan recommendations.
- Interface with internal construction management team and furniture vendors to obtain budget estimates for space plans.
- Collaborate on projects with internal real estate managers, construction managers, move managers, information technology partners and external vendors.
- Manage colleague space requests across multiple regions in Huntington's footprint.
- Generate detailed colleague move plans in support of facility relocation projects.
- Conduct site surveys as needed to confirm existing floorplan and site conditions for preliminary space planning efforts.
-Dynamically and graphically report on drawing-sourced space data, including building and department areas, usable square footage, inventory of space types, occupancy rates and vacancies.
-Update and maintain facility floorplans in space management software reflecting the current disposition of room types, occupancy, and other related data.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or field of study of architecture, interior design, facility design, space planning

5+ years' in architecture, interior design, facility design, space planning, or equivalent experience
Experienced in managing space planning efforts of varied scope and complexity

Preferred qualifications:

5 years in a corporate real estate environment, preferred

Preferred working knowledge of office furniture systems

Exceptional proficiency in AutoCad, or similar program
Proficient in MS Office Suite software applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
Effective influencing skills
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to develop conclusions and recommendations
Quick learner with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
Strategic thinking skills to develop ideas and innovative solutions
Self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal supervision
